The Tour guide and Bus driver were very nice. The information giving on the trip was interesting and the boat trip through the lake was amazing. The visit to Salzburg, however, was too short and it would have been better if there was a route with a guide instead of 3 hours of free time so we could find the places faster and have time to go into a museum. I would recommend it.

Birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist destinations in Austria. On this tour we will also pass through the Lake District and the setting to the musical "The Sound of Music."

Itinerary

Leaving Munich we hit the road on the way to Austria, and skirt the Alps, finally arriving in Salzburg, the country's star destination.

Once in Salzburg, a city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, we'll pass through the gardens of the Mirabell palace, the outside of the house where Mozart was born, the Royal residence and hundreds of treasures of the Baroque period.

After the guided tour by bus you will have free time to eat, explore the city, or climb up to the castle.

On the way back to Munich we'll cross the lake district, stopping at one of its most popular lakes, Wolfgangsee. Here, should you wish, you can take a cruise from the town of St. Wolfgang.

Passing through the charming setting to "The Sound of Music" we'll return back to Munich at 7 pm.

Important Information

In November and December, for reasons of poor weather, the cruise is substituted for more free time in Salzburg. Between August and October there are often roadworks on the motorways, and travel time is greater, therefore it's sometimes again impossible to take the cruise: after all, the main objective of the tour is enjoying Salzburg!

Meet Point

From the 30th of March onwards, the meet point will be Karlsplatz 21/Stachus, in front of the Kaufhof Gallery
