We met our guide, Emanuela, at the water fountain near the Glockenspiel, and started the tour listening to the 11 am bells chiming and watching the little clock show. Emanuela had lots of facts during the approximately 2.5 hour long tour, where we stopped at numerous beautiful and interesting sites in the city. She was accommodating for questions and bathroom breaks, and also encouraged us to go back and visit some of the locations if and when we have more time. A fun experience!

Was such a great experience with Peter, He has great story telling skills that kept the experience extremely fun & interesting, he was knowledgeable of the area we explored and its history & culture. He covered all the important attractions & more in Munich!! He had recommended other attractions to see and restaurants to visit at the end We had a great time! Amazing walking tour and we definitely recommend this great experience

Why do you say your tour is free and then ask people if they will be contributing or not and if they are not contributing they need to disclose? That doesn’t make sense. Just add a price and not make it free. If it’s free then people should choose whether they want to tip or not. Don’t force them.

So rich in history! I highly recommend the tour as soon as you arrive in Munich! It’s a great way to start enjoying the culture and lores of Bavaria’s capital. We laughed the whole way, didn’t even flinch at the 10,000 steps just taken. Just kidding, walking’s good!

It was nice, though I expected to hear more about the city and less about beer unless beer is the only thing that the city has to offer, I think that the amount of talking about beer was way too much. In other cities there are tours around a specific theme - maybe a tour around beer would be more appropriate for that. other than that it was great

Tom was very friendly, learned all our names and had a great control of the group. He's delivery was clear and animated which was great for my mum who is deaf. I think Tom would do well if he considered the diversity of the group. It was quite awkward at times when he assumed that everybody was straight. We would have preferred slightly less emphasis about the beer and more emphasis on the people and the culture of those who have lived in Munich over the years. Thank you

This tour was a great choice to begin acclimating and learning about Munich city center. I am grateful there are people like the Civitatis guide willing to give a tour with the promise of payment via tips. He was a very good guide and took us around main sights within the city center, telling us about them and answered any questions asked. He was energetic, upbeat and knowledgeable. If I had to choose how to start my first day in Munich all over - I would do it again.

Excellent tour. Patrick was both knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Pace of tour was just about right. As was free, although most gave Patrick a tip at then end, it was a very good way to learn about Munic in a very short time. Even if, like me I had lived in Munich for 2 years a number of years ago, I still learned quite a bit.

Luis was very engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. However, I felt he kept us standing in the sun for too long at one point. We didn’t really do much walking, and we went into two churches that I felt we should do on our own, rather than on the walking tour. Each of those took up 10 minutes. .
